Join us for a day of golf, laughter, and community as we come together to raise funds and support groundbreaking ALS research and the search for a cure. Dick believed in putting the fun back in fundraiser, and this event is no exception!

Inaugural Golf Tournament

Jun 30, 2025, 6:00 AM – 1:30 PM EST

Andover, 73 Lovejoy Rd, Andover, MA 01810, USA

About the foundation;

A dear and lifelong friend, Richard Wolnik,  passed away last July from ALS.  Before his passing, we started a 501(c)(3) charity named the Richard J. Wolnik Foundation.  There are a few organizations (ALS.org and Frates Foundation to name a couple) that offer assistance to patients who have ALS and in need of care.   The RJW Foundation mission is funding cutting edge research and finding a cure.  The Foundation is in its first year and we have already  partnered with The MGH/Healey ALS Center, and they have announced a new global ALS drug trail initiative called “ALS MYMatch”. All proceeds from Dick’s fundraiser’s will go directly to cutting edge drug trail therapies determined by ALS biomarkers from this global collaborative.  Attached is the press release from MGH – take a read, it’s good stuff!

The RJW Foundation is hosting its first inaugural gold tournament at the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover on June 30th from 6am-1pm. Representatives from MGH/Healey will be at the golf tournament luncheon to say a few words and the foundation will pay tribute to them and present a gift

The day’s event will include raffles, silent auction, merchandise……..and plenty of fun games – no golf skills required!

If you can’t hit the green and have a little experience shooting darts, firing a canon or howitzer artillery,  you  will most likely will win some prizes.

If that type of fun is  “over stimulating”, then enter the marshmallow drive contest – everyone is a winner!.

Dick wanted to put the fun back into ‘fundraising” and we have it all covered!

If you don’t golf, come and watch all the fun with a luncheon tribute starting around 11:45 – just register for a $65/pp day pass.

If you can make this event and want to make a small contribution to the cause, we could use some “swag” for the golfer’s swag bag sponsor. Stuff like  bottled water, koozies, energy bars or drinks, golf tees, ect…..  all cheap stuff you can get at Walmart. Or just click the “donation” button at   www.richardjwolnikfoundation.org   and make a small contribution within the month of June. Your donation will go directly to the golf swag bag and volunteers for the foundation will get some stuff for the swag bag.
